TUSCALOOSA | The Tuscaloosa River Market’s first season has been more successful than city officials envisioned.
Thousands of people each week visit the market on the Black Warrior River to buy fresh produce, flowers, local honey, baked goods, jams, jellies, meat and farm-raised shrimp. Last Saturday morning, the $3 million facility was packed with people browsing the ample selection offered by local farmers, bakers and crafters.
